Siefert Associates, LLC has been providing erection engineering services for Stonebridge Inc. as they erect a new high-rise building in Manhattan, New York. SALLC has provided a variety of services thus far including the design of temporary supports for five long-span trusses. The trusses weigh up to 250 tons, and are supported by temporary columns extending from permanent column which will hang from the bottom chord. SALLC also designed the grillage arrangement beneath the temporary columns and analyzed the mat slab foundation for the temporary loads. Other services include: design of temporary cable bracing for stability during erection, analysis of existing steel for construction loads from materials and access equipment.
