New Mid Suffolk Electric Yard
Siefert Associates, LLC provided crane plans for the erection of LIRR’s new signal huts in Ronkonkoma, NY. Due to the long radius required by the set location and proximity to an adjacent train wash station, a Liebherr LTM 1450 with a 138-foot luffing jib was required to safely make the pick while avoiding obstructions. Additional coordination was required to verify and ensure the protection of all underground utilities. In addition to providing detailed lift plan drawings, Siefert Associates also provided designs for the crane dunnage and signal hut rigging.
