GLX Community Path Shoring Tower Design

Siefert Associates, LLC continues to provide GLX Constructors with design services, for the Green Line Extension project in Somerville, MA. The Community Path Viaduct superstructure consists of 11 spans, with span 11 needing a temporary support during erection. Siefert Associates designed the required temporary support platform for the span 11 girder pair using crane mats that were provided on site. The jacking system and lateral restraints were also designed for the maximum vertical and horizontal loads. The working drawing below depicts the proposed support.
