Acrow Bridge over the Hutchinson River Parkway

Siefert Associates, LLC was contracted by Tyrek Heights Erectors to provide an engineered lift plan for the erection and launch of an Acrow Bridge over the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham, NY. The temporary bridge is an essential step in the replacement of the East Lincoln Avenue bridge over the Parkway and part of the larger Westchester Bridge Bundle that was recently awarded to Halmar International. The 140ft section over the parkway was launched from the west approach using a CAT D-4 Bulldozer while the cantilevered end was supported by a Liebherr LTM 1250-6.1 set up in the northbound lanes of the closed parkway. The cantilevered section was set on temporary shoring towers and the final 100ft span was erected using a separate crane at the ramp infield.
