Geotechnical Investigation for a School Building, Bronx, NY

Siefert Associates, LLC recently completed a Geotechnical Investigation program for a proposed 5-story school building ‘South Bronx Charter School for International Cultures & the Arts’ (SBSICA). The project is located adjacent to Rt. I-87 and is close to Harlem River. The scope of work included inspection and coordination of soil borings, lab testing, preparation of project geotechnical report, evaluation of design soil parameters including seismic considerations, recommendations for deep pile foundations, review of impact of peak flood water elevation on foundation structure.
