Metro North Railroad Over Atlantic Street
As part of the Metro North Railroad Over Atlantic Street Project in Stamford, CT, Halmar International is erecting a proposed passenger platform with access to the new railroad Track #7. The proposed passenger platform is an approximate 781ft extension eastward of the existing passenger platform, aligned parallel with South State Street. The proposed passenger platform was to be erected in three phases from working drawings provided by Siefert Associates, LLC: steel framing over Atlantic Street, precast concrete platform sections, and steel canopy erection. Halmar International has already erected the steel framing over Atlantic Street [pictured here] and the precast sections. Siefert Associates, LLC is currently preparing working drawings for erection of the steel canopy structures. Facing high traffic congestion, and close proximity to overhead wires, all erection has been, and will continue to be done on South State Street night closures using hydraulic cranes that vary from 45T for the canopy steel to 265T tandem lifts for the steel framing over Atlantic Street.
