3rd Track Constructors

Siefert Associates aided in the erection of the new Nassau 1 Interlocking east of Merillon Station Garden City as part of the third track expansion on the LIRR. Engineering lift plans for track segments and temporary support of excavation were successfully completed. Nassau 1 is one of the most highly trafficked areas, where more than 200 trains traverse each day. Working closely with 3rd Track Constructors field staff and engineers as well as Bay Crane personnel, the 6 switches were all set in place during allotted outages. Great work team!
