LIRR Expansion Project – New Nassau 1 Interlocking Crossover Installation

Siefert Associates, LLC continues to provide construction engineering services to 3rd Track Constructors JV. The project involves installation of the New Nassau 1 Interlocking Crossovers in the existing main line of the LIRR Expansion Project from Floral Park to Hicksville. Shown below are some of the photos during the erection of turnout 31 using Liebherr LTR1220 crawler crane and rigging for erection from Siefert Associates. The max panel weighs roughly 54,100lb and measured 61ft in length.
