Atlantic Street

Siefert Associates, LLC prepared working drawings for Halmar International to erect two [2] steel girders for a proposed pedestrian platform immediately adjacent to the recently installed new bridges along Metro North Railroad over Atlantic Street in Stamford, CT. The girder pair was spliced together and fully braced offsite, delivered to site during an overnight closure, and erected with a tandem crane lift. The spliced and braced steel girder pair weighed over 151 kips, and spanned 144’-3” between existing abutments. The proposed platform provides commuters access to the recently added Track 7 in Stamford.
