Green Line Extension

Siefert Associates continues to provide GLX with design services, for the Green Line Extension project in Somerville, MA. The new viaduct structures require 7 ft and 8 ft diameter drilled shafts reaching depths of 100 ft. Siefert Associates designed the steel lifting ring devices allowing the contractor to safely install the prefabricated rebar cages, for each shaft. The attached image depicts the lifting ring (in red) being tested prior to use in the field.
