C08 Traction Power Substation in Queens, NY was installed last month by the team of E-J Electric Installation and J. Supor & Son Trucking and Rigging. All crane engineering and lift planning was provided by Siefert Associates, which included a Liebherr LTM-1500, lifting pre-fab units on 8 pick points, 75,000 lb. at 85 ft., while over the new ESA tunnel and head house. The 20 units were placed on a foundation 260 ft. x 45 ft. and is the largest pre-fabrication power substation in the U.S.
