Out with the old....
Siefert Associates provided engineering services for removal and replacement of 102-year-old station Astoria Boulevard in support of ADA upgrade and station removal in Queens, NY. Featured removal of girder pairs using Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 crane, rigging and temporary bracing provided by Siefert Associates. The max section weighed roughly 42k and measured 50’ in length.
