Green Line Extension (GLX)

Siefert Associates continues to provide engineering support services to GLX Constructors as they work towards extending the Green Line through Cambridge, Somerville and Medford Massachusetts. The project requires a large number of drilled shaft and column rebar cages that are being fabricated and shipped to site. Siefert Associates has been given the opportunity to provide the engineered lift plans for the wide range of rebar cages. Each drilled shaft cage is to be lifted with a lifting ring (depicted) then temporarily supported within a steel caisson. Siefert Associates designs a wide variety of lifting rings with the main goals of both maximizing safety and minimizing cost
