Wittpenn Bridge Replacement Project in Hudson County, NJ.

Last month, George Harms Construction Company contracted Siefert Associates for demolition engineering on the Wittpenn Bridge Replacement Project in Hudson County, NJ. The existing structure is a vertical-lift bridge built in 1930 and is 2,169 feet long with 14 deck-girder spans and 3 through-truss approach spans, 2 tower spans and a 209-foot vertical lift main span. The demo of the bridge will be within 10 feet of an active CSX railroad bridge. We are looking forward to working with the team of Harms and Burkhalter Rigging on the very exciting project.
