Siefert Associates has been working with Granite Construction on the erection of the Phase 2 Kosciuszko Bridge in Queens, NY. The bridge requires approximately 40 6’-0” to 7’-0” diameter pier column rebar cages ranging in length from 30’-0” to 80’-0”. Siefert Associates provided the lift plan and analyzed each cage to ensure structural integrity during the construction process. A picture of the trip-up operation can be seen, which illustrates a two crane operation utilizing additional lateral reinforcement designed by Siefert Associates.
