Location: Naugatuck, CT Office (with hybrid remote work options)

Our specialty is developing working drawings and calculations tailored to the preferred means and methods of contractors on heavy highways, buildings, railroads, power generations, utility and marine projects.  Our scope of services has grown to include permanent design, inspection, and field services.

Job Description:

Siefert Associates, LLC is seeking a Structural Project Manager. This position reports directly to a company Vice President and will have responsibilities in preparation of calculations and drawings for complex projects as well as business development, proposal writing (scope and fee estimate) training and mentoring of production staff. The Structural Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects including the budget, change management, client communication, providing direction/oversight/QC of engineering and CAD work. Some limited travel is required; typically, this would be on a daily basis to jobsites and client offices.

Project sites are predominantly throughout metropolitan NY & NJ, and in CT. Services include design of temporary support structures; shoring towers, trestles, temporary bridges, construction loading on structures, engineered lift plans; demolition & erection plans for buildings & bridges, alternative lifting operations, rigging design/analysis, and crane layout plans.   

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • P.E. License (and willingness to obtain in other states through reciprocity as project needs arise)

  • 10+ Years of Experience in Structural Engineering Design of which at least 5 years’ experience is in Construction Engineering

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively, in a team setting, with both coworkers and clients, from diverse engineering and construction backgrounds.
